AVDRA's Honolulu Hills National weekend is March 6th & 7th.
Saturday the 6th is Hare Scrambles, Spoke with Darrell one of the track owners and the course will be between 4-6 miles long. Sign up is from 11:30am-12:30pm, Riders meeting at 12:45pm, Sighting lap at 1:00pm, Start time ASAP (after all top off tanks and get a drink.) $35.00 NO Membership required for Hare Scrambles. ONE, one hour race. NO PRE ENTRY.
Sunday the 7th is ALL MX, with sign up from 7:00-8:30am, Riders meeting at 8:45am, Practice at 9:00am, Frist race at 10:00am. There will be early sign up on Saturday evening about 4-5pm. Pre-entry open now through February 28, 2010, $35 first class $25 each after. After the 28th it will go to $50.00 and $40.00. So please don't wait to get you entry in.
Remember all are welcome...theat means all bike and riders, AVDRA has a place for you.

Ride share, Carpool, Bike transport,what ever you want to call it is becomming an almost must do decision if a lot of rider want to keep on in the sport of Vintage racing.Gas prices have soared to make a 300-500 mile one way trip to an event staggering in costs which was no problem in the past.We all know the sport is fiercly individual but now is the time to team up and share the costs.Look for a racers resource page to come where discussions and information can be shared regarding transportation, lodging and other travel arrangements.Think about it,4 bucks a gallon is 2 bucks shared,cheap as it was a couple of years ago.I know some people like vegitarian meals while othes like chili cheese fries and some like nice lodging while others like a sleeping bag on the ground.Lets work these out and get a ride share program together so all members feel comfortable.Several people are doing a very good job of it now and they are the ones always at the races.
